Mandatory tool for any fan of the Dark Colony & Jurassic war games.
The application decode graphics from *. spr files and stores it in a readable format bmp/png. These were the initial assumptions, but as the development of DC files there occurred several possibilities. course, the program also converts bmp/png >> spr, so you can change the graphics in the game. Read the map terrain, along with a preview (water animated as in game), some units animations can be displayed, fin - but that's another issue.
Control in map preview mode: 1 to 9 -> direction of the animation,
d, f, m -> switching the type of animation
w -> display mode site
It can also convert Jurassi War files to readable form - TRS to png, and unpack TRC archives.
Set of applications for handling BW reports. May prepare statistics of identified reports and present siege/expedition in a graphical way.
Very useful in wars, league, etc., in developing tactics, tracking the game.
Artillery Wars is a turn-based artillery game. It's more advanced version of Gorillas game. Your goal is to destroy enemy cannon.
At this version you can play with simple AI, or other player local/net.
There are few glitches, but game is playable. ;]
The game system is complete, everything works, a demo version, due lack of time and graphics, have only one level.
Additional levels can be created by yourself using the popular lvl editor.
My first game written in FB :) Since long time I wanted to write shooting game.
I was looking for some action/shooting game with nice graphic written in FB.
But there was no such game, so I started thinking about writting such game.
Then I have found great free graphic resource's, so I decided to use them.
In assumption it should be simple shooter, just to see how to programm in FB,
but it was not enough, I wanted to make it real fully featured game.
Maybe in future I will have more time and patience to do this.
Game is playable, has sound effects, music and solid graphic.
Most graphic taken from SpriteLib GPL.
Sounds and music taken from free web resource's.
A simple application to graphically display the contents of files - as a 2D image, with a specified color palette. Id read files as pure data (you can specify the offset of reading).
I note that this is not a top performance in terms of optimizing service or program.
Controls: +,-,/,*, 1,2,3
The program was very very helpful in decoding *. spr files from the DarkColony game.
In short words it's free, simple compression library, written in FB, based on dictionary coding.
Currently I need to rewrite it anew, in module/library structure,
make functions for it and make some optimizations and speed-up's.
Now it's much slower than zlib in copressing, and it has much lower compression ratio,
but decompression is very fast. :)
